Summer Flavor Research and Competitive Insights Intern
Develop a database for one key category that comprises (1) sensory; (2) analytical; (3) volume; and other key parameters that define the success and characteristics of that competitive marketplace. From database, develop a visual aid and/or potential user interface that enables user to create intuitive visual displays that summarize key attributes and stimulate thought.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Brand Awareness-Volume, Analytical, and Sensory database for one key category
- Determine key category and competitive samples
- Identify key characteristics that should be included in the database
- Work across the organization to plan, execute, and collect data on key characteristics
- Develop the database
- Develop the visual templates to achieve
- Work collaboratively to design and build the user interface to achieve visual displays from database
- Present findings at conclusion of internship.
Education Requirements:
- BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Physics degree seeking student. (preferred)
- Currently pursuing a graduate degree (MS of PhD) in Food Science or STEM related field.
Related Work Experience:
- Experience in food science and measurement techniques required
- Experience with sensory and/or analytical science measurements preferred
- Knowledgeable in developing databases preferred.
Functional Skills:
- Sensory techniques and/or Analytical Science (Chromatography) skills
- Database and python programming experience
- MS Office and Presentation experience
- Power BI experience preferred
- Brand knowledge or selling experience
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s and not graduating before December 2025.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Monthly Compensation: Undergraduate $4,506 | Graduate $6,066
