Optometrist(Bilingual in English and Chinese)
## Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services to our patients and contribute to the overall success of our practice.
## Duties
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health
- Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Monitor and manage various eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
- Perform specialized testing including visual field testing and retinal imaging
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care
## Requirements
- Strong background in patient care with a focus on senior care
- Knowledge of ophthalmology, physiology, and optical principles
- Familiarity with medical coding, medical records, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patients.
Qualifications:
- Licensed in New York State Board Certified or Eligible
- 1+ year of experience preferred but not required
- Active New York State license
- Bilingual in English and Chinese(Mandarin, Cantonese, etc)
Benefits:
- Negotiable salary:
Salary $200k -240k for Optometrists depending on experience.
