NCCJ is seeking a semester intern who is passionate about diversity and inclusion as well as working with youth. This position would focus on youth prevention programming with a concentration on diversity and inclusion.

The intern will participate in the following job duties:

Prevention Education Programs and Alternative Activities - participating in prevention school based programs, monthly alternative events, prevention information dissemination field days, youth-led prevention programming

Program Preparation - Assisting in planning and preparing for prevention programs. Including preparing materials, researching and collaborating on new activities/best practices, practicing implementation of new activities before implementing Training assistance - assisting in implementation of NCCJ's prevention trainings, primarily including community QPR (individual would be there to learn, observe, assist in set up, but would be unable to assist in the actual delivery of the material)

Coalition Meetings - NCCJ maintains an active role in the Montgomery County Prevention Coalition and the intern would be invited to join meetings for the duration of the internship 

School Year Preparations - Assisting in developing and improving prevention programming that will be implemented in the 202 school year by researching new activities and best practices, finding new supplementary materials, etc.

Assisting in connecting prevention science to an understanding of diversity and inclusion.
