Virtual Chemistry Tutor

Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Virtual Chemistry Tutor to provide high-quality academic support to high school and college students. As an Virtual Chemistry Tutor, you will help students master chemistry concepts, improve problem-solving skills, and build confidence in the subject. This role is ideal for undergraduate or graduate chemistry students who enjoy flexible, student-focused teaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small-group VIRTUAL tutoring sessions in chemistry (General, AP, IB, Organic, etc.).
  • Explain complex chemistry concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Assist with homework, lab reports, exam preparation, and conceptual understanding.
  • Utilize interactive teaching methods to enhance student learning.
  • Track student progress (for recurring students) and adjust tutoring strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain professional communication with students and/or parents regarding progress and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field or can demonstrate mastery of the high school chemistry curriculum.
  • Strong ability to break down complex topics into simple, understandable terms.
  • Excellent communication skills and a student-centered teaching approach.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to online tutoring tools (for remote positions).
  • Passion for education and commitment to student success.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience tutoring or teaching high school, AP, IB, or college-level chemistry.
  • Prior experience in online tutoring.
  • Experience working with specialized test prep (AP, SAT, MCAT, etc.).
  • Familiarity with learning strategies and study techniques to enhance student comprehension.
