
Grant Writer Intern
Position Overview: AbilityLinks is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grant Writer Intern to join our team. This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant writing while making a meaningful impact in the lives of people with disabilities and Veterans. The Grant Writer Intern will work closely with our development team to identify funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage grant reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Identification: Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Grant Proposal Writing: Assist in writing and editing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents tailored to the requirements of each funding source.
- Grant Reporting: Assist in preparing interim and final reports for funded projects, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and deadlines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to understand organizational needs and program specifics to effectively communicate them in grant proposals.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the development team as needed.
