(#6320867003) Intern, Storage Systems Research Scientist
What You’ll Learn
- Project Overview:
- The intern will identify suitable set of converged memory/storage workloads, evaluate the same and analyze the performance bottlenecks of the identified workloads on top of PoC CMM-H device. The intern will then proceed to propose software/hardware solutions, design, and maybe implement/evaluate some of the proposed optimizations to increase the value of the device for the identified workloads.
- Skills You’ll Learn:
- Microbenchmarking and performance bottleneck analysis of a real-world PoC device
- System level value evaluation and enhancement of a future device
What You’ll Do
Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is a world leader in Memory, System LSI and LCD technologies. As a summer intern of Samsung’s Memory Solutions Lab (MSL), you will be part of an Advanced Research and Development team developing the next generation of enterprise memory and storage technologies. The team innovates, solves key technical problems in areas and products related to Samsung’s HBM, DRAM and NAND flash memory technologies, and tackles a variety of challenging issues in data center, server, and AI software infrastructure.
You will be working with a team of experts in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, results-driven environment. We are looking for highly talented, passionate, and versatile students who share our vision and contribute to the creation of next generation memory solutions
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time
Reports to: Sr. Manager, SW Dev. Infrastructure Engineering
