Program Overview:
Cleveland Avenue proudly participates in the LEAD Internship Program, powered by The CAFE Group. LEAD is a 10-week summer experience designed to complement your role, providing invaluable professional skills, expanding your network, and helping you lead with purpose in creating a more equitable world.
In addition to your daily responsibilities at this organization, you’ll join a larger cohort of students placed at partner organizations across Chicagoland. From June 2 - August 8, 2025, you’ll take part in a dynamic series of professional development workshops, cohort activities, and special events led by The CAFE Group. These weekly experiences are crafted to help you reflect on your values, grow as a leader, and explore the many ways to drive social change and integrate philanthropic values into your career, no matter where it takes you.

Position Overview:
We are looking for dynamic interns who are eager to learn. Interns will be selected to fill a variety of roles across different business areas. Each intern will be placed based on experience.

Candidate Profile (Required):
- A Rising-Sophomore in an accredited 4-year Institution
- This internship is based in Chicago
- 100% participation in all Internship Programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient Research skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to commit 40 hours a week through the 10-week program (Monday, June 2nd – Friday, August 8th)
- Excellent organization and time management skills
Typical Responsibilities include:
- Perform research within the field and compiling reports
- Handle confidential and non-routine information with sensitivity
- Maintain an organized system of tracking, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks, and projects
- Gather resources and create informational files for grantees
- Work independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects
- Plan and coordinate presentations
- Draft business correspondence, which may include letters, memos, speeches, and emails
- Perform other duties as assigned
