MASTER MECHANIC CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Valley Transit is actively seeking customer-focused individuals interested in a public transportation career. Master Mechanics are responsible for basic repair and maintenance of Valley Transit buses and related equipment. Work involves the repair and replacement of engines, transmissions, electrical components, air systems, etc., general servicing and preventative maintenance procedures, emergency repair work and parts inventory and distribution. Work is performed under moderate supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications
Requires experience in diesel mechanics and/or automotive repair and maintenance and training beyond the high school level in mechanical/automotive maintenance or related field or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Salary
The hiring salary range for this full-time union position is $30.90 - $33.11, plus an excellent fringe benefit package including paid time off, health, life, dental, and Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is among the best funded and best managed public pension systems in the country.
Hours
Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm. Scheduled are based on seniority and candidates are subject to overtime/inversing within the division/department.
