The Psychology Applied Research Center (PARC) in the Department of Psychological Sciences at LMU is seeking an administrative coordinator to support community partnered research projects, such as the Ca Dept of Public Health’s California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP) Phase 2 Extension. Performs a variety of administrative/secretarial duties to support Drs. Cheryl Grills, Sandra Villanueva and Diane Terry. Will compile and analyze data and information for reports or presentations; may assist with bookkeeping duties to track budgets, respond to correspondence; edits and proof reads documents; maintains records and databases, and updates them as necessary; assists with scheduling and maintenance of calendars, makes travel arrangements, answers questions about routine policies applicable to the department or office unit; and may oversee student employees.

 

Position Specific Responsibilities/Accountabilities 

Applies basic working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures to varied situations. 

Schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements, maintain calendars, greets visitors. 

Handles sensitive or confidential information. 

Composes memos and routine office memoranda, transcribes notes. 

Answers phones, routes callers, takes messages.

Requisite Qualifications      

Typically a high school diploma. 

Minimum 2 years of experience. 

Basic knowledge of office machines, word processing, spreadsheet, email and databases. (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. General knowledge of standard office procedures.

Salary range

$22.88 - $28.61 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
