Business Systems Finance Consultant (SAP)

CONTAX Chicago specializes in implementing and supporting SAP business systems for enterprises of all sizes. Based in Chicago, IL, the Business Systems Finance Consultant optimizes clients' accounting processes and reporting tools through the implementation and support of SAP Financials and Controlling (FICO) software for customers across North America.

The consultant duties and responsibilities for this position include:

• Troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions related to SAP software and business process configuration, specifically within the FICO module.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional team members to translate business needs and product requirements into effective solutions for customers.
• Participating as part of a team in the implementation of SAP for companies in the manufacturing and distribution sectors.
• Configuring and testing the SAP software application within the FICO module.
• Supporting existing customers using SAP by providing enhancements, optimization, and improvements to FICO business processes.
• Delivering projects within established timelines and budgets.
• Assisting customers in optimizing their use of business software through training, knowledge transfer, and expert guidance.
• Proactively seeking professional development opportunities to enhance the ability to address our customers' business and technical needs.

For entry-level hires into this position, CONTAX provides initial training and mentoring to build core SAP business and technical knowledge.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Requirements

The requirements for this position include:

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (e.g., U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status).
• Residency or planned residency within the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, or Wisconsin by the start date.
• Willingness to travel within North America when required (10-25%).

Preferred skills and experience:

• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
• Familiarity with working in a finance department for companies of various sizes
• Experience using business software applications such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Epicor, NetSuite, or Infor
• Understanding of business processes including manufacturing, sales, distribution, or accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on customer service
• Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Competence in problem analysis and provision of clear recommendations
• Effective documentation skills
