Sales Development Representative Trainee (Contractor)

 

Sales Development Representative (SDR) Trainee_Contractor 

(10 week / 400 hour total, short-term contract)

Do you have a knack for understanding others’ needs and offering novel solutions? Are you personable, organized, hard-working, and resilient? 

 

If so, Jotform is now taking applications for its Sales Development Bootcamp, which is set to begin the first week of March and run through Mid-May.

 

This Bootcamp is a 10-week (400 hours total) paid training opportunity to get practical, hands-on experience as an independent contractor in SaaS sales. Hours will generally be 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Central Time Monday through Friday.

 

During the program, you’ll learn about the SaaS industry, sales fundamentals, and Jotform. And you’ll get the chance to try out the day-to-day tasks of an SDR, with guidance along the way.
 

Weeks 1 and 2:  

During this time, you will:

  • Comprehend the significance of the SDR role in the entire customer journey, 
  • Learn the vocabulary of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Business-to-Business (B2B) sales, and 
  • Have an in-depth orientation to Jotform’s product, its value proposition, and sales processes.
     

Weeks 3 through 10:  

Learn-by-doing period: 

  • You will be assigned real-time SDR tasks like prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting appointments – tasks require a unique blend of skills, strategy, and tenacity. This will be your opportunity to apply what you’ve learned.

The Process:

Application in the recruitment process will be as follows;

  1. Your application will be screened by our specialist talent acquisition team 
  2. Candidates meeting role criteria will be invited for an ​online assessment process ​that combines psychometric testing​ and a case study. ​If you are selected for this stage, we will provide you with more information on the process and​ answer any questions you may have. Since the purpose of this exercise is to determine your fit for the position, it is important that you respond to the questions honestly
  3. ​If you are successful​ then you will be invited for a speed online interview as part of the selection process. We will meet you via video to make sure you are clear on what and how you will be assessed ​d​uring the bootcamp and what is expected of you. It’s important to listen carefully and to ask questions​.
  4. Based on speed online interview results, if you are selected to our SDR Bootcamp, you will be offered a short-term engagement as a paid independent contractor as you go through the bootcamp.
  5. A limited number of contractors may be offered full-time employment roles with the company upon completion of the bootcamp. However, participation and completion of the bootcamp does not guarantee a future offer. 

 

Compensation:

​Bootcamp participants will receive $1,515 every two weeks as base pay. During the period when you will be generating leads (i.e., after week 2), you will also be commission-eligible based on qualified meetings and deals closed.
