Sales Associate

Position Statement: Partners with Water Team to make our customers successful by embracing AJA’s Vision Statement.  Responsible for building a market position by locating, developing, defining, contacting, and landing new customers for the water business. Under the direction of the VP of Water, the Sales Associate will unearth new opportunities to sell existing and customized water treatment solutions to prospective clients from the current target segment and additional unique opportunities.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Form and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Identifies new markets and business opportunities outside of existing customer base to grow the water business and achieve or exceed revenue goals.
  • Create new business opportunities by sourcing new customers, identifying needs, and proposing water treatment solutions.
  • Acts as consultant and leverages interpersonal skills to develop a client centered relationship.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Collaborates with territory Regional & National Sales Managers to share ideas and coordinate efforts to increase revenue on new accounts and capitalize on Manufacturer Representative Groups client relationships.
  • Provides technical solutions for customer’s water treatment needs.
  • Remains up to date on industry standards, technology, and transformation by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders when responding to a request for proposal (RFP) to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues and the current competition on the program.
  • Serve as the technical representative during initial contact and throughout the sales process, ensuring customers receive excellent service with one main point of contact.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences, for professional and personal development.
  • Utilizes the CRM software package to ensure that data is maintained and relevant
  • Manages lead generation software to identify water treatment opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record on developing new markets and closing new business
  • Outside sales experience of commercial water treatment equipment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related or supportive field.
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Minimum 1-3 years sales experience
  • Knowledge and experience managing CRM
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing lead generation software
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office software package
