Sales Business Intelligence (BI) Intern

Overview

PITT OHIO, a $900 million, high service, highly profitable, transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking a Sales Business Intelligence (BI) Intern. This internship position is located at our corporate headquarters in the Strip District area of Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements, identify data sources, and create PowerBI solutions for sales metrics
• Create customer analyses to understand potential
• Collaborate with internal PITT OHIO teams to identify customer data sources and rules
• Collaborate with IT to add data to reporting source (SQL Server data warehouse and Snowflake)

• Assist with Sales Director metrics dashboard, customer data set analysis, and Operations metrics dashboard

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Quantitative Marketing or a related field

• Minimum GPA of at least 3.5

• PowerBI development skills
• Strong understanding of SQL databases and language
• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to communicate results from analysis
• Fluent English language skills required to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work with large data sets in Excel
• A functional knowledge of SQL, PowerBI and Snowflake
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Strong multitasking skills, ability to set priorities and accomplish objectives to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
