Lower Elementary Teacher
Dayton Christian School is seeking a Lower Elementary Teacher (Grades K-2) for the 2025-2026 school year. This individual should foster a safe and curious learning environment for all learners. Designing a lesson plan on a weekly basis, teaching alphabetic and numeric state standards, and organizing learning materials and resources are an essential part of the role. This individual will also need to consistently communicate with parents and guardians in regard to their child’s holistic progress throughout the school year.
Essential Functions:
- Designing and integrating a teaching plan
- Delivering classroom instruction to students
- Strong ability to integrate a Christian faith into daily teaching
- Consistently seeks ways to partner with families in the development of a child’s academic, behavioral, faith, and emotional life
- Demonstrates critical reasoning as a professional educator through communication and preparation
Dayton Christian School seeks quality candidates who have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the discipline they wish to teach. A bachelor’s degree or higher in education, a state teaching license, and teaching experience is preferred.
