This position is located in the Driver Records/Suspensions Unit - Headquarters- Blythewood, SC.
Responsibilities of the Driver Services Specialist II
- Process E-Citation, Mandatories/Points/ violations to the driver file daily. Traffic Tickets, Affidavits, Warrants, Indictments and Paper tickets are added to the file daily.
- Verify information on E-Citation and paper tickets to determine whether they need to be return to court.
- Receive and process suspension notices that are returned undelivered.
- Prepares documents for scanning.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be accepted with prior approval.
Agency Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to learn and explain policy and procedures to DMV customers.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Works in general office environment. May be required to work extended hours outside of the normal scheduled work week.
- Must be able to lift 10-15 lbs.
- The work requires sitting for long prolonged periods of time and significant time spent at a computer terminal.
Preferred Qualifications:

A high school diploma and two (2) years related job experience.
