Gain problem solving and professional communication experience in a friendly healthcare environment! Clinical Support Associates answer incoming calls in the Phone Room, greet and assist patients at the Welcome Desk, and collaborate across departments to ensure efficient and empathetic patient access to care.

Welcome Desk:

  • Warmly greet patients entering/exiting
  • Proactively assist patients needing help with wheelchairs and opening doors

Phone Room:

  • Transfer calls from patients to healthcare personnel
  • Provide information services (i.e. directions, fax numbers, confirm upcoming appointments)

Skills:

  • Communicate effectively via phone, face-to-face, and email in a respectful manner
  • High quality customer service
  • Characteristics - friendly, personable, proactive, teachable, team player

Abilities:

  • Operate a desk phone and desktop computer
  • Push patients in wheelchairs
  • Open doors and elevators for patients

Position requires a minimum of 12 hours/week and maximum of 20 hours/week. 

Hours are scheduled around student's course schedule.

2 hour - 8 hour shifts available.

Building hours:

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 8:00pm
  • Friday: 7:00am - 5:30pm
  • Saturday: 7:00am - 12:30pm

Days/Hours of Need: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay Rate: $12/hour

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing for 1-3 hours at a time
  • Push patients in wheelchairs
  • 18 years or older

Preference will be given to students who are available during academic break periods (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). Saturday shifts scheduled on rotation.
