As a Graphic Design Intern, you’ll work closely with team members to create designs and communications for large audiences. You’ll use your existing design skills to create both print and web graphics to support business area initiatives, working within best practices guidelines while building communication and design skills.
About the Role
- Work with senior design team and leadership to develop innovative design solutions that are reflective of client goals, brand, and culture
- Ensure designs meet overall design intent and narrative
- Create custom designs for wallcoverings, large-format graphics, wayfinding, 2D and 3D fabricated designs installations, digital design renderings and mockups
- Develop expertise on projects based on varying scales of work, scope of projects, and phases of design
- Interact with clients to understand their existing branding and culture to develop purposeful designs
- Develop and articulate concepts, layouts and innovative design solutions
- Assist in creating materials and/or presentations for meetings
- Design for print, social, email and other digital mediums
About You
Minimum Qualifications
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Continually looking to perfect their craft, thinking creatively and strategically
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles
- Must have a portfolio
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in design, art or a related field of study
- Self-directed approach
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
