OUTSIDE SALES REP JOB DESCRIPTION

KPGD and the Karen Pearse Brand brings over 30 years of experience in the Stone and Tile industry, providing beautiful materials for our clients with a commitment to service, exceptional depth of knowledge, personal attention and dedication to each project. To date we have worked with some of the world's most prominent retailers, architects and developers in forty countries, and have provided over 150 million square feet of material, project management and purchasing services.

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, driven individual who will be responsible for increasing sales by identifying and developing new architectural/design clients as well as pursuing new national accounts to build our exclusive brands as well as the Karen Pearse brand of products and services. This entry level position offers the opportunity to develop your skills and a chance to make a real impact. This position will require local travel within the NYC area.

Duties

  • Identify and establish contact with potential clients
  • Schedule visits with Architectural/Design firms and national accounts to promote KPGD products and services
  • Deliver samples, providing hands-on explanations of products, offering alternatives/solutions, arranging "Lunch & Learn" sessions
  • Keep current with new products, working with Sales support, librarian, project managers
  • Build solid, trusting relationships with new clients with consistent follow up
  • Generate and submit regular sales reports to management; attend scheduled sales meetings
  • Assist Marketing team with social media content, website postings, etc.
  • Attend industry trade shows as required

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of architectural materials, stone and/or tile is a plus
  • Interior design experience/knowledge, required
  • Ability to read architectural drawing a plus
