AI/ML Specialist

Job Description:

Centennial Technologies is looking for a AI/ML Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced professionals to support the development, implementation, and optimization of Generative AI solutions. This position offers hands-on experience in AI technologies, machine learning models, solution development and deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and Deploying Generative AI Models: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, train, and fine-tune AI models, ensuring they deliver accurate and meaningful results.
• Application Development and Deployment to PaaS platforms: Help build and deploy scalable solutions on platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Integration and Data Processing: Support integration with data sources through integration/API, preprocessing, and cleaning to ensure high-quality datasets are available for training AI models.
• Model Evaluation and Optimization: Conduct initial tests, evaluate model performance, and work on improving AI models to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of AI processes, training methodologies, and model performance. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay Updated on AI Trends: Keep up to date with the latest developments in Generative AI technologies, research, and applications, and implement new techniques as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work alongside data scientists, engineers, product managers, and other specialists to ensure alignment between AI projects and business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Information Sciences or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience building AI solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and/or AWS/GCP.
• Familiarity with application development, UX and backend technologies.
• Comfortable with evaluating and choosing suitable LLMs and technologies based on requirements.
• Understanding of, and experience with Generative AI models (GANs, Diffusion Models, VAEs, Transformers, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in AI technologies, with a proactive attitude toward skill development.
• Must be willing to work at our office in Leesburg, VA or Tysons Corner, VA at least four days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git.
• Awareness of ethical considerations in AI development.
• GPA of 3.5 or above is preferred.

Location:

Hybrid: Four days a week at our Leesburg, VA or Tysons Corner, VA office.
