As the Assistant Event Coordinator, you will provide exceptional customer service to clients by recommending parking and charter services for campus events and communicating all necessary information, finalizing details, and creating contracts and maps. Under the direct supervision of the Event Coordinator, you will perform the following tasks:
Duties include:
· Plan and create parking contracts which includes charter and cart services with minimal errors
· Create maps and signs as necessary for events
· Follow up with clients regarding guest lists and contract details as needed
· Respond to event inquiries via email and phone to inform clients about parking options and costs
· Cover office and dispatch duties as needed, including reception, answering phones, filing, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Self-motivated and highly detail oriented
· Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills over the telephone and in person
· Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and follow-through on assignments with general directions
· Able to problem solve and make decisions in stressful situations
· Experience interacting with a diverse population, customer-focused work environments
· Experience working in a team environment, being outgoing and friendly
· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
REQUIRED
· Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week (2 -5 hours per day M-F)
· Must be able to work during summer
· CA-Drivers License
Must be over 18 years of age
