Commercial Broker Summer Intern
NAI Sioux Falls is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Commercial Broker Summer Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience and knowledge in the commercial real estate industry. As a Commercial Broker Intern, you will work closely with our team of experienced brokers to assist in various aspects of commercial brokerage.
This internship is intended to provide a well-round knowledge of the commercial real estate business and valuable skills, earned by working alongside dedicated professionals.
This internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your commercial real estate sales career.
This summer internship will begin in May 2025 and end in August 2025. We are accepting applications now and will begin our formal selection process for the internship program on February 11, 2025. Qualified applicants will be contacted after the 11th if they have been selected to move forward in the process.
Responsibilities
- Assist Commercial Brokers with market research and analysis to identify potential prospects and investment opportunities.
- Conduct data analysis, write reports, and draft memos to support decision-making and client communications.
- Participate in property tours and inspections with Commercial Brokers.
- Assist in preparing property marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and listings.
- Conduct financial analysis, including lease and investment analysis, to support Commercial Brokers in client presentations and negotiations.
- Help maintain and update property databases, client relationship management systems, and other administrative tasks.
- Shadow Commercial Brokers during client meetings and lease negotiations to gain firsthand experience.
- Assist in coordinating and attending industry events, networking functions, and business development activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies for properties and the overall company.
- Research and stay up to date with market trends, industry news, and local market conditions relevant to commercial real estate.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Commercial Brokers.
Qualifications
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial real estate brokerage.
- An undergraduate degree (or currently enrolled) in business, finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred. Current college junior, senior or graduate level student.
- Experience analyzing data, report writing, and memo writing is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
