Duties

  • Incumbent serves as an IT Specialist with the Network and Telecommunications Services Local (LAN) Management Branch.
  • Serves as Technical Expert implementing and managing DLA's Local Area Network (LAN).
  • Responsible for analyzing network requirements and maintaining network architecture.
  • Configures, creates, secures, and maintains wired and wireless LAN management equipment and networks.
  • Develops testing criteria and procedures.
  • Participates in the development of system policies and Procedures.
  • Implements and troubleshoots 802.1 x and EAPOL.
  • Responsible for IP Address Management for IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
  • Configures, manages, and troubleshoots 802.1x, DHCP, and DNS in wired/wireless LAN.
  • Manages NIPR/SIPR network support and ticket resolution.
  • Supports/maintains networks utilizing various Network Management Tools.
