CT, MRI, IR, Mammographer and Radiographer

Position Purpose:

the Technologist performs a variety of procedures within their scope both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Provides patient care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.
  • Performs a variety of procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
  • Responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

MRI

  • Education: Graduate of a Magnetic Resonance Technology Program. Knowledge of Cross Sectional Anatomy and Pathology required.
  • Licensure / Certification: Registered as a MR Technologist (ARRT),MR. or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology (ARMRIT); Required
  • Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid State Of Ohio Radiological License required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in MRI preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Current CPR certification required

CT

  • Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program. Knowledge of Cross Sectional Anatomy and Pathology required.
  • Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required. CT registry preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in CT preferred.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.

IR

  • Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required. CI or CV registry preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years work experience in all phases of diagnostic radiography, preferred; with angiography, cardiac catherization, or surgery experience preferred.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.

Radiographer

  • Education: Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (AART) (R), or registry eligible. Registry Eligible staff must complete their ARRT within 90 days of employment. Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required at the time of hire.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Radiographer preferred
  • Maintain current CPR certification.

Mammographer

  • Education: Graduate form a Radiologic Technology program
  • Licensure / Certification:
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration as a radiographer, required; and
    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration as a mammographer required or registry eligible as a mammographer; and
    • Valid State of Ohio Radiologic License required.
    • Must be certified in Mammography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or meet the Mammography Quality Standards Act criteria (Registry eligible) in the performance of mammography.
  • Experience: Prior mammography experience preferred. Colleague must meet all prerequisites to sit for the ARRT Mammography specific registry.
  • Maintain current CPR certification.
