About the Role:
Are you passionate about working with children and gaining hands-on experience in special education? Join our team as a Summer Camp Intern! This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to live and work on-site at one of our partner summer camps, providing direct support to campers aged 7-15, including those with diverse learning and developmental needs.

As an intern, you will assist in creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment for all campers. This role is ideal for college students pursuing a degree in special education or a related field who are eager to apply their knowledge and build practical skills in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support and encouragement to campers.

Assist in implementing adaptive activities and programs.

Facilitate group activities and ensure camper engagement.

Help manage daily routines and provide emotional support.

Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in special education or a related field.

Experience with children, particularly those with special needs, preferred.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children.

Ability to live on-site and pass a background check.
