Community Membership Liaison

We're looking for an individual who is interested in a career with growth and earning potential.

Community Membership Liason responsibilities are three fold:

To introduce prospective members to the advantages of joining our business association and maintaining a positive member experience for increased member retention. Assist in the planning of member events.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct in-depth research and find different avenues for approaching potential prospects in the market to increase membership. This is a goal-driven, commission based position that requires the ability to self-manage and simultaneously balance the needs of the association. The position will have high exposure to executives and board members and will require a strong professional presence and business acumen.

  • Consistently look for new and creative ways to gain new members through proactive research
  • Prospect for qualified leads through a variety of sources including the Internet, networking events, periodicals, directories and direct inquiries
  • Identify ways to communicate benefits to prospects
  • Manage prospect database, including reporting of pipeline, updating records and adding new prospects
  • Build a network of contacts through prospecting and referrals
  • Use CRM tools (ChamberMaster a plus) to create custom membership proposals for outreach and follow-up with prospects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current members
  • Manage membership inquiries and respond promptly
  • Provide analysis and consultation on existing membership materials and resources
  • Determine prospect’s goals and motivation; be knowledgeable of all the association's programs and services
  • Event Planning Duties
  • Lock in venues for our montly events and signature events
  • Help with the planning of Octoberfeast, Golf Outing, Professional Interchange, Breakfast and Lunch events, Business Expo, Holiday Party
  • Administrative Duties
  • Create agenda for membership and mentorship committee meetings
  • Creating, maintaining and updating the database for membership fees and keeping track of renewal dates
  • Create flyers for our events

  • Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
  • Experience in managing and utilizing sales CRM systems, ChamberMaster a plus
  • Experience with Adobe
  • Knowleadge of Canva
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Graphic Design experience a plus
