Part-Time | 20-25 Hours Per Week | Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama
Are you ready to inspire young minds and gain hands-on experience in STEM education? The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama is seeking energetic and outgoing STEM Interns to deliver engaging STEM programming for children ages 6-16. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills, make a difference, and bring STEM to life in a fun, informal setting while growing as a leader and mentor.
What You’ll Do:
- Travel locally to various Club sites to lead exciting STEM programs and activities.
- Prepare and organize materials for hands-on STEM lessons.
- Deliver interactive lessons that foster creativity and curiosity in kids.
- Confidently lead informal presentations and engage with children in an encouraging way.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1 year of completed coursework toward a degree in science, engineering, education, or a related field.
- A high school diploma, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Experience working with children ages 4-14 (preferred).
- Knowledge of STEM learning best practices or engineering design principles (a plus).
- Availability 2-6 PM Monday through Friday, at least 3 days per week during the school year.
