Documentary Development Intern

Winter Internship – Development Intern

We’re seeking a passionate and detail-oriented intern to join our development team this winter. Our ideal candidate has strong reading and writing skills and a genuine enthusiasm for documentary filmmaking and podcasts.

As a development intern, you'll be involved in various aspects of our active documentary projects, including several films, multiple podcasts, and a museum installation. You'll support the development process through research, project coordination, and general day-to-day tasks. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to help explore and research potential future projects.

We're a small, collaborative team, so you’ll work closely with our development coordinator and two founders, Scott and Jeremiah. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience and insight into the world of documentary production from development to execution.

Position Details:

  • Availability: Minimum of 8 hours/week for at least 12 weeks, with an average of 10 hours/week.
  • Compensation: Stipend, to be determined based on availability.
  • Start Date: ASAP.

To apply, please submit a resume and a brief cover letter. We’re not looking for anything overly formal or repetitive of your resume—just tell us what excites you about documentary work and what kinds of projects you're passionate about working on. If you want, feel free to pitch us on an idea you think would make a great documentary film.
