Thames and Hudson College Publishing Intern
Thames & Hudson is the pre-eminent publisher of illustrated books in the world. We publish high-quality, beautiful books on art, architecture, design, photography, archaeology, and classics, as well as a number of titles for children. Thames & Hudson College publishes top-selling textbooks in art, art history, and archaeology for North American higher education students. Our books are distributed in the USA by W.W. Norton & Company, Inc. College interns are exposed to many aspects of research, editing, marketing, and promoting titles in a small, collaborative environment.
Successful candidates must:
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Be energetic and detail-oriented
- Have superior writing and oral communication skills
- Present themselves well on video and phone calls
- Be able to work independently and efficiently
- Be based in the US; be available to work in the New York office at least one day a week
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in proofing and formatting digital resources for students and instructors
- Researching college websites for potential reviewers and customers
- Assisting in planning academic conferences
- Helping analyze competing textbooks
- Handling requests for review copies
- Assisting with basic administrative tasks
Thames & Hudson internships are for-credit where applicable. Candidate must be available 2 days a week, with at least one day in the office. Flexible hours if necessary.
