The goal of CSIP is to help achieve DHS’s goal to attract a diverse IT and cybersecurity talent. Students will participate in either a Cyber/IT or Cyber/IT Support internship. This is a virtual program designed to increase DHS' outreach across the nation.
Cyber/IT Internship: Designed for students who are interested in exploring a career in Information Technology. Focus areas this summer include, but are not limited to, cyber security, data management, cloud/web services, and network operations. You will be assigned a mentor and receive on the job experience in a professional environment focused on one of the many areas within the field of information technology.
Cyber/IT Support Internship: Designed for students who have a desire to experience public sector work that supports technical missions. Under the guidance of a mentor, you will receive on-the-job experience in a professional work environment focused on fields including but not limited to program management, acquisition, budget, training support, or communications. In addition, you will receive opportunities for cross training in multiple administrative areas that support technical work.
