Job Title: Instructional Design Workforce Development Internship – Inclusion and Belonging
Duration: 6-month Internship
Hours: 30 hours/week
Pay Rate: $20/hour.
Location: Remote (must be in the U.S.)

Position Overview: As an Instructional Design Workforce Development Intern, you will assist in the design and creation of online training modules and courses focused on workplace inclusion and belonging. Your work will help ensure that our workforce training programs are impactful, engaging, and accessible to a broad audience. You will also be responsible for researching and drafting articles on related topics to help raise awareness and provide valuable resources for employees and leaders.
This internship is an excellent opportunity for a current or recent college graduate with experience in instructional design to apply their skills in a meaningful, real-world context while contributing to an important social cause.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to design and develop interactive online training courses focused on inclusion and belonging in the workplace.
- Use instructional design software, such as Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, or other platforms, to create engaging and effective eLearning modules.
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and edit multimedia elements, including graphics, videos, and interactive elements, to enhance learning experiences.
- Write clear, concise, and engaging articles, blog posts, and other written materials on workplace inclusion, belonging, and related topics.
Qualifications:
- The internship is for youth ages 18-30.
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Communication, or a related field. In lieu of formal education, professional experience with instructional design.
- Experience using platforms like Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate, or other eLearning software.
- Knowledge of best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and user-centered content creation.
- Experience designing engaging, interactive, and learner-centered training content.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, compelling, and informative articles and materials.
- Familiarity with inclusion topics and a passion for promoting workplace inclusion and belonging.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and uploading content.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva is a plus.
- Prior experience creating training content on DEI topics or in corporate training settings.
