Promotions and In-Game Entertainment Internship – Learn to Energize Thousands of People (PAID AND FREE HOUSING)
We are committed to putting together a collaborative front office team that includes interns who share our passion for doing right, engaging meaningfully, and creating success.  As the Promotions and In-Game Entertainment Interns, you will get some of the best experience in planning and executing PaddleHeads promotions that drive ticket sales while creating community. With a clear vision toward a bright future, we will work together to maximize the fan experience, create a deeper sense of community value, and stand as the centerpiece for everything baseball for our good neighbors in Missoula.  We are looking for an intern with a hunger to learn about professional sports who wants to grow both personally and professionally while learning the business of baseball. The ideal candidate would be someone who performs well under pressure and wants to learn how to plan and execute the promotions of baseball games like Star Wars Nights and Crazy Giveaways! This person should also want to learn about working in professional sports and everything it takes to operate a professional baseball organization.

This is a paid ‘For-credit’ internship.  Housing provided.

Responsibilities and expectations: 

  • Honor our working values and participate as part of the team
  • Take pride in and take ownership of the stadium and the fan experience
  • Must have a passion to work hard and embrace success
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage time well
  • Writing game scripts that create storylines inside the ballpark
  • Managing press box team and camera operators for all home games and any non-baseball events
  • Directing the PaddleHeads game entertainment (videoboard, on-field, music, live video, etc.)
  • Managing all music from creating playlist to organizing the music library
  • Creation of videoboard aspects (static graphics, videos, fan cams, line score, etc.)
  • Management of all live video aspects (directing camera operators, running, management of equipment)
  • Management of the Zoo Crew promotional team and Info Booth at the game and assist with in game promotions
  • Execution of the 2025 promotional calendar and management of all promotional items (t-shirts, giveaway items, sponsorship fulfillment items)
  • Collection and organization of fans data through in park and community engagement.

2025 Season Projects: 

  1. Script Management Project: for every home game you will work with the Entertainment and Promotions manager to write a script of entertainment and what is happening throughout the game. This script needs to have everything from sponsorship activation, promotion, themes, storylines, game features, and so much more. Completion of this project will give you incredible insight to how the In-Game Entertainment is planned out and produced.
  2. Entertainment Content Project: Every season we have new entertainment content from player head shots to introduction videos to music. This project would be maintaining all content for the entire show and working with the Entertainment and Promotions manager to create new content that would add to our show. Completion of this project will give you proficiency in video editing, photoshop, Daktronics, sound director, and live video systems.
  3. Leadership and Directing Project: The most difficult part of this position is directing the show and managing the staff that’s needed to put on the show. You will be coached throughout the season, by the Entertainment and Promotions manager, on how to lead, manage, and motivate a team. Completion of this project will give you some of the best experience in leadership, communication, team motivation, and life lessons you can take to any business.
