Recreation Program Coordinator

HIRING RANGE DOQ$2,772.00-3,060.80 bi-weekly

JOB SUMMARY

 

Oversee the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of recreation program areas and facility operations. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, outdoor recreation, aquatics, athletics, fitness, leagues, community outreach, recreational programming, special events and hospitality.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in recreation, education, business administration or related field and a minimum of two (2) years’ progressively responsible experience in municipal or other recreation agency; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

 

National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) designation is desirable.

 

Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.

 

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

  • The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.
