Veterinary Technician Assistant, Small Animal Oncology
Job Description:
- Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated CSU student interested in the veterinary sciences
- Students participating in this part time paid position will have an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in feline and canine handling and medical care
- Students will have an opportunity to work closely with CSU veterinary oncology nurses and doctors
- Must be willing to work 1-2 shifts per week per student.
- Shifts availble Monday-Friday, between the times of 7:30am - 3pm (no weekends or evenings available). Shifts can be as short as 2 hours but can be longer if available.
- Fall, Spring and Summer semester availability
Job Duties (career competencies in parenthesis):
- Work with a large and diverse team of veterinary professionals to assist in patient care (TW)
- Be punctual and communicate changes in work schedule (PA)
- Assist in patient data input into electronic medical records system (DP)
- Assist in patient assessment (obtaining vital signs), patient handling, stocking and cleaning, as well as other procedures and tasks that will help facilitate nursing and veterinary staff in patient care (TW/CD)

- Simple data entry (DP)
