COORDINATOR, SOCIAL MEDIA

Job Summary:

The Social Media Coordinator for the Birmingham World Police & Fire Games will support the Web & Social Media Manager and entire Marketing team. This role is focused on social media content creation for the World Police & Fire Games 2025 accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The position includes working in Canva to create visual designs that support the content, and editing images and videos for posting. 
 

Start Date/End Date: January 2025 - July 2025

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation:

  • Design social media posts for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn using Canva. 
  • Create complex designs and edit images using Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator). 
  • Edit and create video imagery for use on social media platforms.
  • Coordinate content for captions and imagery for social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Organize and manage social media content calendar.

2. Content to support Community Partners and Sponsors:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that celebrates the community partnerships for the WPFG 2025. 
  • Work in the sponsorship and sales team to create content that supports the sponsorship contracts confirmed by the sales team. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Media, or related field.
  • Experience in social media content creation, design, and posting.
  • Digital native using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
  • Experience using Canva to create engaging designs with brand-specific guidelines.
  • Knowledge of Wordpress for website building and management is preferred.
  • Experience in editing photos and videos, adding captioning is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) a plus.
