School Psychologist

The Sioux Center Community School District is seeking a highly motivated K-12 School Psychologist beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. 

We are looking for a passionate individual who will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, staff, and families within the school district. This role involves providing support for emotional, social, academic, and behavioral well-being of students within an educational setting, while working collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrators to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive school environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, addressing learning and behavioral challenges, developing intervention plans, and promoting mental health. Additionally, they provide guidance to staff and families, contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs), and advocate for student needs while fostering an inclusive and equitable school culture.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual skills.
  • Experience with special education programs and services.
  • Knowledge of current educational laws and regulations.

 

Employment Information:

  • FLSA Classification: Exempt, full-time
  • Salary based on education, experience, and/or qualifications
