Bay Point Advisors is an Atlanta-based, private credit fund specializing in creative investment solutions.
Bay Point Advisors seeks to add Summer Analysts to our team in Atlanta, GA. Successful candidates will be directly involved in all facets of the investment analysis process including screening, financial modeling, due diligence, industry research, legal documentation, and portfolio monitoring/management. Interns will also gain experience in raising capital and interact directly with sponsors, borrowers, and Bay Point leadership.
About the Role
We are looking for high-achieving undergraduate students to work with the Bay Point team for a nine-week program, spanning from Monday, June 1, 2026, through Thursday, August 6, 2026. If you are looking to explore a career in financial services or investment banking and are interested in debt financing, capital markets, and alternative investments, this role would be a great steppingstone. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced environment and learning from colleagues that come from diverse backgrounds.
Timeline for Candidates
- Deadline to submit resume and cover letter is July 7, 2025.
- Initial interviews for qualified candidates take place in early August.
- Finalists will be interviewed in September; Internships offered on or before October 1.
Internship Outcomes
- Expand knowledge of alternative investments, private credit, and different lending structures.
- Experience working at a high growth fund.
- Contribute toward key projects that directly impact our company-wide priorities.
- Develop expertise in the foundational aspects of corporate credit, asset-based finance, and opportunistic credit.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited university with graduation date of Spring 2027 (exceptional sophomore students may be considered).
- Available to work full-time, in-office, schedule Monday through Friday.
- Legal authorization to work for a United States employer.
- Strong interest in finance, capital markets, and alternative investments.
Skills/Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of credit investment structures.
- Academic background in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work effectively independently, as well as part of a highly collaborative team.
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic - ability to take accountability and pride in one’s work and receptive to constructive feedback.
- Process improvement mindset: iterate and improve administrative best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and excellent time management.
- Passion for improving and delivering best-in-class internal and external customer service.
- Evidence of intellectual curiosity, creative problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
- Self-motivated and driven; ability to work effectively in a collegial, fast-moving, demanding, and dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate an ability to articulate a clear, concise analysis of investment risk and relative value.
