2025 IT Service Management Internship

The IT Service Management (ITSM) Intern will be part of the IT Service Management Team in the Digital Workplace Services Technology tower, which is responsible for continuous improvement of ITSM processes and procedures.  This position is responsible for working closely with the ITSM team, will participate in weekly intern cohort programming, and collaborate with other IT interns on a group project.

 

Role Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Service Management (ITSM) Intern to join our dynamic ITSM team. Our ITSM team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our IT services. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT service management processes and tools, while contributing to the success of our IT operations at Mizuho Americas.

 

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the analysis and continuous improvement of ITSM processes and procedures, including incident management, change management, and problem management
  • Assist with crucial change initiatives for the IT organization. Develop project management skills whilst delivering change with impacts across the firm.
  • Collaborate with various IT teams to gather and document requirements for ITSM initiatives and projects
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the IT asset management database, ensuring accurate and complete inventory of software and hardware assets
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of ITSM reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and metrics
  • Provide support to the ITSM team as needed

 

Job Knowledge Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of IT service management concepts and frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Qualifications:

  • Current students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2026
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and documentation skills
  • Studying Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent majors
