Join our dynamic team at Dataspeed Inc. as an Engineering Intern and help shape the future of autonomous vehicle technology. You will work at our state-of-the-art facility in Rochester Hills, Michigan. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on cutting edge technology and innovative projects, gaining valuable skills while making a tangible impact on real-world technology.


Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors:
• Strong understanding of component-based architectures, with proficiency in C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript (or similar frontend languages).
• Experience in Python 3, including building APIs and services.
• Proficient with Git and GitLab for version control and collaboration.

Electrical Engineering Majors:
• Work with electrical engineers to create designs for new products and improve existing designs.
• Work with multiple technologies including voltage regulators, mixed analog/digital circuits, embedded microcontrollers/microprocessors, FPGA’s, motor controllers and sensors.
• Analyze test data and debugging electrical systems.

Mechanical Engineering Majors:
• Design using SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
• Work on prototyping, troubleshooting and design improvements.
• Test mechanical prototypes and gather key findings.


What You Will Need:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proficient in basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
