Overview:
Berean Baptist Academy (BBA) is a Christ-centered educational institution committed to providing students with a strong academic foundation rooted in biblical principles. We are seeking passionate and dedicated faculty members to join our team. Faculty members at BBA are responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering students' spiritual and academic growth, and contributing to the overall mission of the academy. Faculty report directly to the Principal or Dean and collaborate closely with colleagues to support student success.
Key Responsibilities:

Instruction & Curriculum:
- Develop and deliver engaging, Christ-centered instruction per BBA’s curriculum standards and educational philosophy.
- Plan and implement lessons that challenge students academically while integrating biblical principles and promoting Christian character development.
- Use various instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and foster an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Student Assessment & Progress Monitoring:
- Assess student learning through formal and informal assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain accurate student progress and achievement records, ensuring students meet academic benchmarks.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and administrators to identify and address student learning needs, including providing additional support or enrichment opportunities.

Classroom Management & Student Engagement:
- Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment that is conducive to learning and aligned with BBA’s values.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom community where students are encouraged to participate, take risks, and grow academically and spiritually.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote student responsibility, respect, and positive behavior.

Spiritual Leadership:
- Model Christian character and leadership, integrating faith into teaching and classroom life.
- Lead students in prayer, devotions, and discussions that deepen their understanding of biblical truths and encourage spiritual growth.
- Participate in school-wide spiritual activities, including chapels, service projects, and other events that support the Christian mission of the academy.

Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to create a cohesive student educational experience.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and concerns.
- Attend and actively participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.

Professional Growth & Development:
- Pursue continuous professional development to stay current with best education practices and grow in your ability to serve BBA’s students and mission.
- Participate in ongoing training and workshops provided by the academy to enhance teaching skills and spiritual leadership.

Contribution to School Life:
- Support extracurricular activities, school events, and special projects as needed, contributing to the broader life of the academy.
- Encourage student involvement in school programs and activities that foster academic, social, and spiritual growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- ACSI teaching certification or equivalent qualifications, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional practices, and student assessment.
- Demonstrated commitment to Christian education and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
