Intern, Commercial Real Estate
Position Summary:
The Intern will work closely with other investment professionals and will play an integral role in evaluating new investment opportunities in the commercial real estate space through market research and analysis, financial modeling and asset valuation, in conjunction with Lone Star Funds. In addition, the Intern will support asset management and portfolio management strategies for existing and new investments. The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of commercial real estate investment strategies in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with ad hoc strategic projects
- Prepare regular update reports on asset performance for senior management
- Assist in the engagement and direction of third-party property managers in development and implementation of operating budgets including capital and leasing plans
- Provide support to asset management initiatives by conducting financial analysis and developing and executing business plans
- Assist in the preparation of asset-level recommendations for senior management
- Prepare strategic plans for assigned properties and contribute to overall portfolio plans
- Build and maintain property valuation models using Excel and ARGUS
- Produce asset-level reporting on a periodic basis
- Assist in the underwriting and due diligence of new CRE related investment opportunities
- Structure/Build detailed financial models and asset valuation tools to support investment decisions
- Forecast operating performance, financial projections and business plan scenarios for deal-specific underwriting

- Rising Junior or Senior
