Philanthropy Internship - Snow Mountain Ranch
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Philanthropy Intern will provide support for all areas of the Philanthropy department at Snow Mountain Ranch, including planning and working events, implementing recognition and stewardship efforts, data entry, donor visits, communicating with members and camp families via email and social media. The intern will also help run donor events including open houses, golf outings and cabin donor picnics, and staff giving programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Work with Philanthropy Team to promote giving opportunities to guests, members and staff
• Deliver cookies; meet and greet guests, members and donors to build relationships
• Organize and attend member gatherings, open houses and special events as appropriate
• Assist with collection and distribution of stories emphasizing the impact of Snow Mountain Ranch and Camp Chief Ouray; assist with donor thank-you videos
• Provide general administrative support for the Philanthropy team
• Give tours of the new cabin village at Camp Chief Ouray to donors and families
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality concerning all professional matters, especially donor communications and private information
• Possess a valid, US driver’s license, good driving record, be approved to operate YMCA vehicles
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Help coordinate and participate in visits with members and prospective donors
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• All other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Able to work well with frequent interruptions in a busy office environment.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually fairly high.
- Ability to climb stairs and frequently get up and down from the desk.
