Sales Planning Intern

Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Sales Planning Summer Intern. The intern will work with the TGNA Sales Planning Team to understand internal database relationships, assist with testing, new system launch, data entry, discrepancy reporting, and training/learning video demos for internal use
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand the functionality of TGNA’s Sales Department’s new Sales Quote System to aid in testing, data entry, discrepancy reporting, efficiency studies, and system communication testing for the betterment of the sales department.
- Shadow current team members to understand Sales Planning and Production Sales processes and their relation to Quote System and PO discrepancies, GS1, and other internal systems.
- Review system development specifications and assist in the creation of work flows, demonstrations, and training for sales members.
- Enter or update existing sales quotations for all sales teams, if needed at time of internship.
- Gain a thorough understanding of sales system relationships to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements or testing.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum of 2 years' undergraduate studies completed
- Coursework towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Engineering Management, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Finance/Accounting, or related fields
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including Excel); SAP experience is a plus
- Motivated and eager to learn and understand TGNA automotive sales & sales planning systems and processes.
- Excellent organization and communication skills required
- Spanish and/or Japanese speaking and literacy skills are a plus, but not required.
