Athletic Director

E.C. Glass High School is excited to welcome a visionary and dynamic leader as our next Athletic Director. This individual will lead a program with a storied legacy of success, innovation, and excellence that includes over 40 state titles across football, basketball, track, tennis, lacrosse, and more. Our goal is to find a leader who will expand on an already outstanding program to elevate the school’s athletic programs to new heights while honoring the traditions that make E.C. Glass a cornerstone of high school athletics in Virginia. Through collaboration with students, families, coaches, and the community, the Athletic Director will inspire a culture of achievement, engagement, and school pride that transcends the playing field.

At E.C. Glass, we believe that athletics is a powerful avenue for instilling a culture of excellence. The next Athletic Director must set high expectations for all student-athletes, emphasizing the importance of hard work, discipline, and accountability both on and off the field. The Athletics Director will find new and innovative ways to welcome and include students in all aspects of the program.

CHAMPION OF COACHING DEVELOPMENT
A great leader builds other leaders. The Athletic Director will mentor and develop the coaching staff to inspire and challenge athletes at every level. They will foster professional growth, promote collaboration, and set a high standard of integrity and expertise within the coaching ranks.

STRATEGIC DEVELOPER OF FEEDER PROGRAMS
Lynchburg City Schools has a long-term vision of developing a highly aligned approach to middle school and recreation league program to enhance our long-standing high school program. A long-term vision for athletic success begins in the community. The Athletic Director will establish and nurture strategic partnerships with middle schools and recreational leagues, ensuring a pipeline of talent and engagement that strengthens the athletic program for generations to come.
