Tire Chemist Intern

Summary: 

The Chemist Intern will assist in various projects relating to product development, raw material screening, and customer support by preparing samples, testing physical properties, and running performance tests in our Tire lab. The Chemist Intern will work under the supervision of a senior chemist and will maintain a laboratory notebook to record all details of activities. Additional responsibilities include technical writing, reporting & presenting on project updates, and general lab housekeeping.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of college coursework completed in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Understanding of or previous experience in a laboratory. 
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in lab setting. 
  • Understanding usage of Personal Protective Equipment. 
  • Commitment to safety and quality. 
  • Desire to learn Chemistry concepts.
  • Proficient in Technical writing.
  • Detail oriented.

This is a temporary, summer internship with no benefits.
