
Electronic Repair Technician
Job description
We specialize in repairing electronics that other businesses won't fix. Anything from soldering to repairing audio equipment . We have been serving the Orange County area for about 5 years, and we have over 16 years of IT and digital electrical experience. We are looking for a fun and passionate individual that loves to fix things. If you have a gift for repairs and enjoy the occasional challenge, then this might be the perfect fit for you.
This is a paid internship program. You will be required to answer phones and help customers while learning how to fix a myriad of electronic devices. We are looking for someone that loves to tinker and can take anything apart and make it better.
Basic Qualifications
- Enjoys repairing things and working with their hands
- Excellent technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Has organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Work well in team environment
- Ability to work 20hrs/wk
Job Requirements:
Strong willingness to learn. Coach-able.
- Troubleshooting various electronic and electro-mechanical items to the component level
- Test repaired components to verify proper functionality
- Develop and follow standard repair and test procedures.
- Use various types of electronic test equipment
- Self motivated.
- Good organization and communication skills.
- Work well with others
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills
- No lifting restrictions
- Ability to react to urgent situations and make sound decisions.
- Experience in through hole and surface mount soldering
- Ability to think on your feet.
Electronic Repair Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electronic test equipment
- Provide recommendations for problem resolution
- Visually inspects product for damage
- Cleans, re-labels and re-packages product in relation to above activities
- Fabrication for repair of instruments needed
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair devices
- Explain complex technical issues to customers in a non-technical, simple to understand manner
- Provide repair and replacement estimates to customers
- Greet customers in a friendly manner and maintain a positive work environment.
- Knows how electronic components work and how to diagnose them in and out of circuit.
