Camp Photographer/Videographer

Job Summary:

Maranatha Camp and Conference Center is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Photographer/Videographer to join our team for the summer. In this role, you'll capture the unforgettable moments of camp life—whether it's campers engaging in worship services, outdoor adventures, or building lifelong friendships. Your work will help tell the story of our camp community and provide lasting memories for campers and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Visual Storytelling:

• Capture high-quality photos and videos of camp activities, special events, group moments, and daily interactions that reflect our camp’s mission and values.
• Edit and produce content that highlights the unique aspects of camp, creating a vibrant narrative through imagery and video.

Creative Content:

• Create engaging promotional videos, highlight reels, and photo albums to showcase the camp experience for future promotional use.
• Develop content that aligns with the camp’s brand and is shareable on social media, newsletters, and website galleries.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Work closely with the camp leadership team to understand the camp’s objectives and priorities for media capture.
• Collaborate with other staff members to plan and organize the filming of camp events or special moments.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and team-building activities to help foster a positive camp environment.

Camper Experience:

• Capture campers’ interactions, building an archive of memories that they will cherish.
• Maintain a positive presence among campers and staff, making them feel comfortable and natural while being filmed or photographed.

Equipment Management:

• Ensure all photography and videography equipment is in good working condition, and manage the safe storage of cameras, drones, and accessories.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with equipment during camp sessions.

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience with digital photography and videography (portfolio or sample work required).
• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom.
• Basic understanding of camera settings, lighting, and composition.
• Experience working with video and photo equipment in outdoor and dynamic settings is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.

• Camp sessions run Sunday afternoon through Friday evening, with opportunities to work additional shifts for extra compensation.
• Must be prepared for a variety of weather conditions, physical activities, and long hours.
