Accounting Intern (Tax and Audit) – 2026

Moss Adams is currently seeking Interns for 2026: 

Winter/Spring (Early January to Mid-April, if schedule allows) and Summer (Mid-June to Mid-August). 

Internship Start/End Dates: 

  • Spring/Winter: 1/7/2026 - 4/10/2026
  • Summer: 6/17/2026 - 8/14/2026

Our interns gain knowledge of the firm's Assurance, Tax and Consulting practices through working with multiple clients across a variety of industries.

Interested in Assurance:

  • Assurance/Audit Interns participate as a member of the engagement team by performing assurance procedures such as audits or reviews on client financial statements.

Interested in Tax:

  • Tax Interns prepare individual, trust, estate, partnership, and corporate tax returns.  Interns may also assist clients by providing a full spectrum of tax services including planning, research, and compliance.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT)
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program, with a preference for accounting majors
  • Must meet educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon full-time Staff hire
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to a Moss Adams office and be willing to work on-site
  • Eligible candidates must have academic courses remaining at the end of the internship; ideally, in the third year of a 4-year program, or fourth year of a 5-year program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office location
  • Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills; Ability to understand own and others' emotions in order to achieve desired goals
  • Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in professional setting
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Highly motivated and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills; Take responsibility for quality and timeliness of projects
  • Quickly adapt to a changing work environment, including the use of software, systems and technology
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

It’s uncommon for an individual to be hired at the top end of the pay range. This position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.  Compensation Range: Colorado: $31/hr - $33/hr California: $35/hr - $42/hr Washington State: $33.50/hr - $35.50/hr
