Role Summary
The Media Relations Intern will work within the Media & Broadcasting department through the 2025 Mud Hens season. This role provides students or recent graduates the opportunity to work in a live press box for the Mud Hens. the role's main function is the creation of game notes and stat packs, as well as the coordination of media interviews. Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare press are for media.
- Compile and update game notes prior to each game, home and away.
- Compile and update stat packs prior to each game, home and away.
- For home games, deliver game notes and stat packs to broadcasters, gameday staff, coaches, media, etc.
- Coordinate postgame media interviews.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current enrollment or degree in Sports Management, Broadcasting, Communications, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of baseball.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
- Flexible schedule and availability, especially in April and September.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to execute a number of tasks simultaneously and works well under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
