Information and Communications Coordinator - Management Analyst 1
Come join the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) in the Health Care Homes (HCH) unit and work with a team focused on improving health outcomes in Minnesota through strengthening and advancing primary care! The Management Analyst 1 will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness and accessibility of the program’s web presence, publications, and information management systems. This position oversees the design, maintenance, and updating of web and print content to ensure it is user-friendly, accessible, and compliant with state and organizational standards.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Coordinating records and information management activities.
- Maintaining compliance with privacy and data security standards.
- Supporting the development of electronic file systems.
- Develop and promote learning activities, including webinars and in-person events, while providing technical support and evaluation.
- Assist program leadership with administrative and operational tasks such as scheduling, meeting planning, purchasing, and business continuity planning.
This is a hybrid telework position that requires quarterly in-person meetings as well as periodic in-office work in the downtown St. Paul location. Telework will be based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion.
Minimum Qualifications

- One (1) year* of experience managing, updating, and ensuring accessibility of web content in alignment with organizational standards and policies.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and webinar tools (e.g., Webex).
- Experience developing projects and/or documents for print and web.
*A degree in a related field such as Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology, Public Policy, Health Informatics, Graphic Design, Public Health, or Education may count towards professional experience as follows:
- Associates = 6 months
- Bachelor’s = 12 months.
- Master’s = 18 months.
- PhD = 24 months
Qualifications to be further assessed during the interview process:
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and usability principles.
- Experience establishing processes
- Knowledge of records and information management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HTML, CSS, or other web development tools.
- Understanding of healthcare program operations or experience in public health administration.
- Experience developing and facilitating webinars, eLearning modules, or in-person training.
- Experience using change management principles to adapt and improve electronic systems or processes.
