Founder's Associate Intern

Founder’s Associate Intern
Swobbee is building a network of battery charging and swapping stations in NYC, allowing users to conveniently swap their e-bike batteries at a station, rather than charge at home. This eliminates range anxiety and ensures safe charging practices.

Originally headquartered in Berlin, Germany, we are expanding to the US and are seeking a motivated individual to support our founder in building our US footprint. As a Founder’s Associate Intern, you’ll work directly with the founder and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of an early-stage business, including product development, business development, strategy, and operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to learn the ins and outs of startup life.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the founder in managing day-to-day tasks, including research, analysis, and project coordination.
  • Support product development efforts, such as testing new products, gathering user feedback, refining processes, and communicating findings to the tech team.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including market research, partnership outreach, and pitch preparation.
  • Help streamline and document operational processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage ad hoc projects that arise in the fast-paced startup environment.

About You:

  • You are structured, organized, and detail-oriented, capable of juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • You are a self-starter with a proactive attitude, comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
  • You are driven and motivated to contribute meaningfully to a growing startup.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • You have a genuine interest in sustainable mobility, technology, or startups, and are excited to immerse yourself in the challenges and opportunities of an early-stage business.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize information and present actionable insights.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible and dedicate 10-20 hours per week.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working in startups or early-stage environments with a demonstrated background as a self-starter.
  • Familiarity with product development cycles or business development processes.
  • Knowledge of a second language, particularly French or Spanish.

If you’re eager to dive into the world of startups and play a critical role in shaping Swobbee’s success in the US, we’d love to hear from you!

Please apply on Handshake with your resume. A cover letter is strongly encouraged--tell us about a time when you were a self-starter!
